Aldubáran

In 1995 seven young Faroese musicians formed an ensemble with the main purpose to perform and promote Faroese music. This ensemble is Aldubáran.

Every year, Aldubáran is featured at Summartónar, the annual festival of contemporary and classical music in the Faroe Islands. The ensemble and individual members have released CDs and recorded for radio and television at home as well as abroad.

Albeit Faroese music plays a major part in their programmes the masterpieces of the music literature are equally important.

This particular concert consists of Øssur Bæk, violin, Páll Sólstein, horn and Jóannes Andreasen, piano,

performing music by Brahms and Shen.
