Dahl) og Edith Dahl were the pioneers in the choir\u00b4s early years. Edith was the head of the choir for almost 20 years. Since then Ellen Dahl, J\u00f3annes Nols\u00f8e and Dorte Tilma \u2013 amongst others \u2013 have been in charge of the choir.<\/p>\n<p>The choir\u00b4s schedule has always been based on hymns and songs, the main goal being to support the hymn singing during the service.<br \/>\nFrom the beginning the All Saint\u00b4s Day concert on the first Sunday of November has formed an integral part of the choir.<br \/>\nThe choir Lj\u00f3mur frequently has domestic and abroad singing events.<br \/>\nAlthough these last years bear the mark of shifting choirmasters, the choir has remained active to this day.<\/p>\n<p>Benjamin Gaasedal from T\u00f3rshavn is the current choirmaster of Lj\u00f3mur.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The choir Lj\u00f3mur was founded on February 19 th in 1939, in connection with the consecration of the new church in V\u00e1gi.
